Rimac Automobili has started taking reservations and deposits for the production version of the Concept One, which will be built in 88 units, each with a price of about $980,000/€740,000.

Mini Zero Concept

The MINI Zero Concept is a speculative study by former Senior Designer at BMW DesignworksUSA Sonny Lim, who proposes his vision for the third-generation model.

Sonny Lim, a former Senior Designer at BMW DesignworksUSA in Singapore and author of the recently presented BMW i8 Concept, has created a study that embodies his vision for a third generation MINI, with the goal of evolving the current design language while staying true to the main iconic design characteristics.

The name ‘Zero’ expresses a ‘back to the origin’ approach, with an essential and basic entry level car positioned under the MINI ONE.

It also refers to “Zero schicki-micki” (trendy-fancy) as well as “zero fat” – the total weight would be just 840 kg, with a very good power-to-weight ratio without a large carbon footprint.

The exterior uses a clean and pure language, with no chromed or plastic details, conveying an authenticity inspired by the classic MINI.

The designer explains “At 3571 mm it is slightly smaller than the MINI Cooper, but longer than the cancelled MINI Rocketman. Lately the MINI brand has been losing appeal and market share in the premium small-car segment due to competitors like the Audi A1, Fiat 500 and Citroën DS3. One of the criticisms is the playful styling of the current MINI, which often make the car look like a toy or a trendy fashion victim relying heavily on printed stickers or “limited editions” to differentiate.”

“The future generation of MINIs will be powered by a range of turbocharged three-cylinder engines (shared with BMW). The new MINI family is moving to the new modular F-platform which will also be shared with BMW’s front-wheel-drive models.”

“As a result, the new platform is also expected to give birth to a range of four-door MINIs in addition to the two-door variants. This will allow MINI to compete with cars such as the Audi A1 Sportback and the new Mercedes A-Class.”

The Latin America Lamborghini Considers................... New Miura and 4x4 MODEL

Yes, the Latin America Lamborghini and not the Automobili Lamboghini SpA of Italy. They are a Mexican company owned by Jorge Antonio Fernandez Garcia, AKA Joan Ferci who is authorized to perform, totally autonomous and independent research and development, leading-too-designs, prototypes and models registered with its own technology. They can only sell in Mexico and Latin America. Over the years this company built two different versions of theDiablo, known as the Eros and the Coatl.
Now it seems the company announced plans to open a CAR factory in Santiago del Estero craft. In here they will build the Alar and Coatl based on the mechanics of the Lamborghini Diablo, but also the Miura II and a Great Toro (4 × 4) model. This new sporting craft will be built for the domestic market and export.
Don’t know about you but we are pretty exciting to hear the Miura name again. Too bad not everyone will be able to enjoy it.

The most beautiful hybrid we've ever seen...............Porsche 918 Spyder concept

Um, we're sure there's something sensible to be said about this Porche concept, but we're not altogether capable of coherent expression at present. We want to own one of these so badly, we don't even care if it has an engine. And boy does the 918 Spyder have an engine. A 3.4-liter V8 petrol burner is combined with electric motors to put out 500bhp, while featuring the mind-altering acceleration to go from a standing start to 62mph in just 3.2 seconds. Topping out at 198mph and offering a very respectable 78mpg fuel economy, this is pretty much the stuff dreams are made, which is quite naturally why you shouldn't expect to see it in any purchasable form any time soon. If you do care to see more of it, however, you can do so at the Geneva Motor Show this year or just past the break, the choice is yours.
